About me!
Work Background
For over three years I worked in a last mile logistics company. My first role was in the Business Operations unit, which is like an internal consulting team for the organization. We worked closely with the Country Head to work on high-leverage projects. Our value add was primarily in designing systems, processes, and tools for other departments within the business.
My second role was as the Customer Experience Manager. When I first joined the team, our primary focus was on stabilizing the new internal ticketing system for reports submitted by both shippers and consignees. Eventually, we started to take on more ad-hoc projects relating to the overall customer experience.
Educational Background
I graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in Industrial Engineering. One of the main tracks of the program is Human Factors and Ergonomics where we studied the various aspects of ergonomic workplace design. For our ergonomics class, my group and I wrote a paper entitled “Ergonomic Assessment of School Chairs in the University of the Philippines based on Anthropometric measurements of Students” which was accepted for presentation at the 9th International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics. The impetus for our paper topic was my frustration with the chairs we had in class, since all of them felt awkward for me to use!
I also earned seven course certificates from the Interaction Design Foundation. For all seven courses, I was given the distinction of Top 10% in Class. Below are all the courses I completed as well as the corresponding links to the certificates.
